Community Based Services for Mental Health

  1. Child & Youth Mental Health (CYMH)

    Children and youth can access free and voluntary community-based mental health supports and services in BC.

  2. Southern Stl’atl’Imx Health Society (SSHS)

    The Southern Stl'atl'imx Health Society's (SSHS) service model is an adaptation of the medicine wheel approach demonstrating the four elements of health and wellness: physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being. The SSHS ensures that its service delivery model supports the whole person in culturally appropriate ways and considers the land, family, community and Nation. Hospital Based Services

  1. Pemberton Health Centre

    The Pemberton Health Centre provides 4 stretchers for emergency care. There are no specialized inpatient MHSU services however the are health care providers available 24/7. If a patient requires a psychiatric admission, they are transferred to Lion's Gate Hospital which is a designated facility.

General Community Services

  1. Community Victim Services

    We operate a free and confidential service in the Southern Stl’atl’imx Communities for women, men, youth and children who have been victims of: Violence in relationships Family violence Sexual assault (recent or historic) Child sexual abuse Criminal harassment (stalking) We provide information, community referrals and emotional, practical and court support to victims of crime and trauma and their families.
