Community Based Services for Substance Use

  1. Vancouver Coastal Health: Harm Reduction Needle Exchange

    We provide harm reduction services, with a particular focus on injection drug users to reduce the spread of communicable diseases. We offer needle exchange services to promote safe recovery and disposal of used needles. We also offer Take Home Naloxone kits and training. Education and access to testing and treatment for communicable diseases, as well as referrals to detox, counselling and residential treatment services is also provided.

  2. Vancouver Coastal Health: Substance Use Services

    We provide school based substance use counselling services to youth 12 – 14 years of age

  3. Pemberton Health Centre

Hospital Based Services

  1. Pemberton Health Centre

    The Pemberton Health Centre provides 4 stretchers for emergency care. There are no specialized inpatient MHSU services however the are health care providers available 24/7. If a patient requires a psychiatric admission, they are transferred to Lion's Gate Hospital which is a designated facility.

  1. Sea to Sky Community Services (SSCS): Adult and Family Services

    SSCS provides over 40 social service programs, which strengthen individuals and build healthier communities throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor. SSCS provides high quality programs throughout our region to enhance the lives of residents at every age and stage of life. We offer: affordable housing for low to moderate income earners; early childhood care and education; social supports; mental health services.

  2. Sea to Sky Community Services (SSCS): Child & Youth

    SSCS provides over 40 social service programs, which strengthen individuals and build healthier communities throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor. SSCS provides high quality programs throughout our region to enhance the lives of residents at every age and stage of life. We offer: affordable housing for low to moderate income earners; early childhood care and education; social supports; mental health services.

Community Based Services for Substance Use

  1. Vancouver Coastal Health

    Community Mental Health and Substance Use Services is available to anyone who is experiencing a mental health concern, living in this community and aged 19 or over.

  2. Vancouver Coastal Health: Harm Reduction Needle Exchange

  3. Vancouver Coastal Health: OAT Clinic

    Operates 1 session every second week in each location; service is available by appointment Mon-Fri 0830-1630; offers 1-1 counselling and referral to recovery beds in North Vancouver.
